Welcome

......To the Wayreth Siberian Huskies' Website.

Wayreth is a small family of Siberians based in Eastern Scotland. We pride ourselves on being primarily focussed towards performance on the trail, with the emphasis firmly on endurance and attitude. We train on trails in the Grampian Hills and are always seeking new challenges to test the team's ability as long distance sled dogs.

We also believe that type and soundness go hand in hand with ability, so we attend as many shows as we can during the warmer months, and we are particularly proud of our record under specialist judges, who have placed us well over the years. I am also very proud to say that I qualified to award CCs in 2005, and really enjoy my days out in the ring.

My life with Siberian Huskies began in 1989, although I was involved with the SHCGB for a few years before that, and since Whizzy and Amaroq came whirling into my house nothing has been the same. As you will see as you wander through our site, Siberians are not a breed for everyone, but life changing and fascinating for those of us lucky enough to have been caught in their thrall.
