| Foxi came to live with us
almost unexpectedly, but I feel so privileged to have her as
part of the family. I had visited Chris at Zoox kennels with
Chara in the hope of getting a mating with Foxi's father
Edi, and was very impressed with the lovely young agouti
coloured puppy playing with her sister in the big pen.
It turned out that Chris had been trying to decide between
the two, and eventually it was decided
that Foxi would travel to Scotland, but carry both of us on
her registration. She will remain jointly owned by the
Zoox and Wayreth kennels. A
sweet, sensitive, delicate and utterly loveable girl, Foxi
is an absolute darling, and charms everyone she meets.
Although she joins Tala in any mischief that happens to be
going on, she remains able to convince us that she was never
actually involved.....despite excellent evidence to the
contrary! Foxi gives the impression of being quite
uninterested in pack politics, but has recently formed a
strong bond with Shibka and has become her "second in
command". She certainly doesn't take any bad
manners from the other girls. She is popular with the whole
pack, always up for a game, and tireless in running around
the place - a real live wire.
Foxi's excellent construction,
sound far reaching movement and beautiful face have led her
to a very successful show career in the last year, and we
are looking forward to her doing even better next year. She
combines strength with refinement and good looks with a
sunny outgoing nature - a combination that we hope will take
her on to great things in the future.
To complete the picture of a super
all round sled dog, Foxi is a reliable trail leader with a
quick mind and a forward going attitude. She runs lead on my
six dog team partnering either Shibka or Chara and she is
very reliable. She doesn't have the tendency to be
distracted that some of the other young girls can have, and
her endurance is very impressive. She retains fitness easily
and when wearing her harness she takes on a mantle of
serious seniority that her unassuming personality wouldn't lead you
to expect. |
